InMarket’s Q1 2022 Foot Traffic InSights found that shopper visits were seemingly affected by growing inflation, which hit its highest point in 40 years at a rate of 7.9%.*
InMarket also found that many consumers sought out value, with foot traffic to convenience, discount, and drug stores making up 59% of daily visits on average, while visitation to Big Box stores took up a smaller share than in previous quarters.
