Real-Time Marketing and Measurement

InMarket’s CRO Trina Rizzo Recognized Among P2PI’s Women of Excellence

In October, the Path to Purchase Institute awarded InMarket’s very own CRO Trina Rizzo a ‘Business Excellence’ Award at the 2023 Women of Excellence Awards. The category recognizes leading women in the marketing industry, who are demonstrating clear, strategic and consistent contributions to the business development of their organizations.

Here’s a glimpse at Trina’s remarkable accomplishments that helped secure her the award:

Across 20+ years in sales, Trina Rizzo has worked with large publishers like Condé Nast to technology firms like Travelzoo and MaxPoint, bringing a seemingly natural ability to lead and mentor her teams towards sustained success, during uncertain and unusual times which have included a global pandemic, shipping shortages and inflation.

Trina’s appetite for helping build a company’s revenue from the ground up and passion for the AdTech industry led her to InMarket, a leader in real-time marketing and measurement for thousands of major brands like Bob Evans Farms, Stop & Shop, ABI and more. In less than five years, Trina moved from VP of Sales to Chief Revenue Officer and played a pivotal role in the company’s exponential growth.

As CRO, Trina rapidly expanded the InMarket sales team and training program across the media, measurement and programmatic disciplines, and added new sales functions, including sales architects and vertical market practice leaders across CPG, Adult Bev, Retail, Pharma and Dining, to support growth. Her focus on key accounts and creative program development include the creation of new tentpole events, immersive creative and insights packages, such as lapsed/Lost, LTV (Lifetime Value), and Journeys, which allow brands to connect with consumers by leveraging InMarket’s unique intent, location and transactional data.

Trina’s ability to partner with her clients and collaboration with InMarket’s internal creative team for key clients has resulted in a record number of awards for digital marketing excellence across a variety of categories, including MarCom’s Gold Winner list for Bob Evans Farms in the ‘Marketing & Promotions’ Category, the Internet Advertising Competition Awards for ‘Best Consumer Goods Integrated Ad Campaign’ & ‘Best Technology Integrated Ad Campaign’ for STIHL, among others.

Internally, Trina has served as a mentor and inspiration to her peers across InMarket and created a sales team that is comprised of female sales leaders, representing more than 50% of the overall team. Additionally, by creating a motivating and inspirational environment, Trina’s 65 person sales team boasted a 97% retention rate in the first half of 2023.

Combined, these efforts have been instrumental in InMarket’s rapid growth and resulted in InMarket being ranked among the fastest growing technology companies in North America on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 list for the last three consecutive years.

Outside of her work at InMarket, Trina spends her time involved in Illinois’ Department of Children and Family Services, having been on the foster care advisory council for four years, and often volunteers for anti-animal cruelty and animal rescue organizations. Trina also works with local schools in her community to enhance their technology offerings to better support the growth and development of students with special needs.

Since joining InMarket, Trina has supercharged the company’s sales revenue and positively impacted her team’s approach to the industry, resulting in overall increased quality of work. From boosting InMarket’s revenue from double digits to six figures to managing a 60-person sales team without losing any InMarket colleagues in the process of two acquisitions, Trina’s exemplary leadership is a testament to her drive and ability to uplift others. As a female leader in the advertising industry, Trina is dedicated to ensuring her colleagues succeed, and pays special attention to elevating female voices at InMarket. She does all of this with ease and a smile—Trina is an exemplary leader and colleague.
